"Corte di Arenaro" is a typical Rome farmhouse, immersed in a vast pine forest, caressed by a sea breeze, a few kilometres from the city and really near to Fiumicino airport.

It dates back to the beginning of the last century, when land reclamation began in the area of Lazio. Hundreds of workers were involved in dinning, ploughing and sowing land that had never been fertile. Farmhouses were then built to accommodate the new "pioneers" and their families.

These new areas were a challenge for many architects, including Michele Busiri Vici, who designed the centre of Arenaro, so called because of the large quantity of sandstone found there.

In 1946, the initial project was extended, by one of the most famous Italian architects, Pierluigi Nervi, to the construction of a very unusual hall, really original in terms of form, size and volume: an area of 600 sqm, with a single covering which, without columns, traces a series of circular lines.
